World Bank publishes Human Capital Index

World Expo Baku 2025’s theme “Developing Human Capital, Building a Better Future” is in the spotlight today as the World Bank published their Human Capital Index, which is the subject of a special report ‘Investing in Human Capital’ in the Financial Times.

The Baku theme is based upon three sub-themes, “Talent - The Future of Education”, “Vitality - The Future of Health” and “Achievement - The Future of Work”.  The in-depth data provided by the World Bank provides welcome input to these pressing issues.

Ambassador Elchin Amirbayov, Assistant to the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief Delegate of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the BIE said: “The findings of the World Bank’s Human Capital Index are useful as we delve deeper into our theme, which we shared at our recent Symposium in Paris.  We want everyone to be part of the discourse and the solution, which is why our assistance programme to help developing countries participate in Expo 2025 is such a core part of our bid.”
