Expo 2025 Baku attends Baku E-Trade Forum

The Group of 25 represented Expo 2025 Baku at the Republic of Azerbaijan’s first E-Trade Forum, held at the Fairmont Baku in the city’s Flame Towers. The forum was held on the initiative of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and supported by the European Union and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

The forum brought together more than 300 representatives from international organisations, businesses as well as entrepreneurs and investors to discuss the rapidly changing E-commerce industry and to share strategies for development and growth. Presentations were given by the European Union, the World Bank, the World Trade Organisation as well as the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Ramin Guluzade.

Azerbaijan is currently developing its E-commerce industry and is supporting entrepreneurship in areas outside of the oil sector. Azerpost, the national postal service, has become an international logistics centre for E-commerce purchases in 20 countries around the world, and E-commerce projects are being supported through loans and grants by the State Fund for the Development of Information Technology.
