World Expo 2025 Baku Supports Global Goals Week

This week (September 22-29) is Global Goals Week. The aim of the week is to accelerate the progress of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - also known as the Global Goals - while member states are attending the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City.

Our theme - Developing Human Capital, Building a Better Future - is globally relevant and has been designed to facilitate positive collaboration between countries. As a result, our three sub-themes directly support 6 UNSDGS at a time when they are being addressed by UNGA and around the world.

Vitality, the Future of Health, is aligned with UN SDGs 3 (Good health and well-being) and 11 (Sustainable cities and communities). Talent, the Future of Education, is aligned with UN SDGs 4 (Quality education) and 5 (Gender equality).  Our third sub-theme, Achievement, the Future of Work, supports UN SDGs 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and 9 (Innovation and infrastructure).
