Expo Faces: Lala Asgarova, Avid Learner

‘Expo Faces’ is a series of stories looking at the faces and voices of people across Azerbaijan who support Baku’s bid to host World Expo 2025. Today we hear from Lala Asgarova (18), who is a member of the Group of 25 and a first year student at ADA University.

Hi, I’m Lala and I’m studying Information Technology at ADA University. I am also the Vice-President of my university’s Undergraduate Student Government, representing the opinions and ideas of students and being involved in the management of the university.

I enjoy challenging myself, either through photography and drawing or learning French and discovering more about the countries of the world. I would like to use my curiosity and determination to not only improve myself each day but also to contribute to important projects that can change the world and develop it so that it reaches its full potential.

Azerbaijan is a country with many cultures and backgrounds, and Expo 2025 Baku is a great opportunity to welcome international visitors and highlight Azerbaijan’s rich culture and history to them. It would also give the world the opportunity to come together and discuss, explore and make improvements to the futures of education, health and work so that people around the world can achieve, grow and develop themselves.
