World Expo 2025 Baku Theme Leaders presented awards to the winners of our national essay competition in a ceremony on Azerbaijan's National Day.
The three winners were chosen from over 250 entries, with Jamila Aliyeva winning first place for her essay devoted to the bid sub-theme, the "Future of Education." The prizes for second and third place went to Leyla Abbasli and Amin Huseynov.
The prize for first place was a trip to Paris, home of the Bureau International des Expositions ("BIE"), while the prizes for second and third place were monetary gifts. The three winners also received glass trophies engraved with the World Expo 2025 Baku bid logo and certificates of achievement.
The competition required participants aged between 16 and 29 years old to submit an essay of not more than 1000 words on one of the Expo 2025 Baku bid sub-themes: The Future of Health; the Future of Education; the Future of Work.
The adjudicating committee were impressed with the quality of the submissions and the enthusiasm that young Azerbaijanis have for “Developing Human Capital, Building a Better Future.”
