New Sea Port opened in Baku

On 14 May the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev opened the new International Sea Trade Port Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan. The expanded Port offers opportunities to both passengers and the transportation industry, through new ferry and passenger terminals and the capacity to process up to 15 million tons of cargo per year, including up to 100,000 containers.

The Port of Baku forms part of Azerbaijan’s national strategy to increase connectivity and to diversify the economy. The new Port is an excellent opportunity to drive visitors to the country and to enhance business connections in the region.
